Tyler McConnell earned his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Houston and his JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California

After earning his JD in 2011, Tyler McConnell wasted no time returning to his roots in Houston to embark on a dynamic career in Entertainment and Business Law. He had the privilege of working alongside established Entertainment law expertsin Houston. One notable encounter was with Erin Rodgers, who, at the time, served as a Staff Attorney with Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA), with whom he’s had the pleasure to work since 2011.

Tyler's practice in Entertainment Law naturally led him to work with artists and business owners who were grappling with issues related to intellectual property inheritance and legacy planning. It was this intersection of creativity and planning that motivated him to delve into probate and estate planning. To enhance his capabilities in safeguarding the interests of his clients, even after their passing, he became a dedicated member of the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section of the Texas State Bar.

Tyler's commitment to making a meaningful impact extends beyond the legal realm. His work with the TALA sparked a passion for giving back to the community, and he has found a unique way to continue to connect with the community through his work with The Journey School of Houston. This therapeutic school serves and educates twice-exceptional children, and Tyler volunteers there by running role-playing games with the students.
